What is Tripsidize??

Tripsidize is fundraising for educational travel! We have created an easy, fun, and engaging online platform that allows users to create and promote fundraising campaigns that will inspire family, friends, and acquaintances to support your upcoming trips and experiences!

How much does it cost?

Tripsidize charges an industry standard 5% fee on all funds raised. WePay(our payment processor) charges an additional 2.99% + 30c credit card processing fee. It will automatically be deducted from each donation as it is given to you.    

Who can raise money with Tripsidize?

Anyone within the United States! Tripsidize is fundraising for meaningful travel experiences. If you need money for your international internship, a mission trip, or to study abroad, Tripsidize will help you make your travel dreams a reality. We encourage anyone with a passion for travel and a shortage of cash to create an account and start fundraising!

What happens if I do not reach my goal?

Fear not! Having been broke college students we know that ANY money is good money.  Because of this, all funds raised through Tripsidize are yours to request at any time (minus the standard service charge ).

How long can I run a campaign?

You can set your campaign to last as long as you want! We encourage users to start fundraising for their trip early. It is common for our users to launch a Tripsidize campaign about 3 months prior to their planned travel date.  This provides enough time to reach all of your potential donators while still creating a sense of urgency with your friends and family.

When will I receive my funds?

Once your Tripsidize campaign starts to receive donations, you can easily request a withdrawal at any time. Requesting a withdrawal does not affect the progress-meter that’s displayed on your Tripsidize campaign dashboard. Who do I promote my project to?

It is ultimately your decision who you promote your campaign to. Depending on where you are going and what you are doing once you get there, you might choose to promote your campaign to close friends and family or to members of your community (be that school, neighborhood, or both). However, don’t expect to receive donations from strangers to help you pay your way to Disneyland.

Can I give anonymously?

When making a donation you can choose to remain anonymous to the public. However, the person that you are donating to will always be given your name and the amount that you donated.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Unfortunately, gifts made to individuals through Tripsidize are not considered by the IRS to be a tax deductible donation.

What happens if I do not receive my reward?

Tripsidize is not liable for any rewards not received by supporters.  We suggest that you reach out to the campaigner by phone or email first to get the issue resolved.
